Asia Cup 2022 is the next big thing that is set to happen in world cricket. Asia Cup 2022 is set to commence next month in August. The tournament will start on August 27 and witness the final on September 11. All the top teams in Asia will square off with each other during the tournament.
The tournament will be played in the T20I format. A total of 6 teams will be part of the Asia Cup 2022. They are Sri Lanka, India, Pakistan, Bangladesh, and Afghanistan. One more team will be part of the tournament. The winner of the Qualifier round will be the 6th team of 2022 Asia Cup.

The tournament was scheduled to take place in Sri Lanka. However, due to the political unrest in the country, the venue of the tournament has been changed to UAE. Hence, UAE is the new venue for Asia Cup.
India is the defending champions of the tournament. In the previous edition of the Asia Cup in 2018, India defeated Bangladesh in the final to win the title. India has also won the most 7 titles in Asia Cup out of 14. Sri Lanka has won 5 titles while Pakistan has won the rest 2 titles.

The schedule for Asia Cup 2022 is not yet announced but will be declared soon. The schedule of the tournament is expected to be out in the coming days. The tournament is expected to begin on August 27 while the qualifier round might start on August 24. The final of the tournament will be played on September 11. A total of 13 games are expected to take place among the 6 teams during the tournament.

There will be 6 teams part of Asia Cup 2022. The 5 confirmed teams are India, Pakistan, Sri Lanka, Bangladesh, and Afghanistan. One more team will be finalized after the qualifier round.
In the qualifier round, 4 teams will battle against each other. They are UAE, Kuwait, Singapore, and Hong Kong. The top-performing team will get to play in the tournament. The qualifier round will take place just ahead of the 2022 Asia Cup.
No team has annonced their squad for Asia Cup 2022 yet. All the teams are waiting for the announcement of the schedule. Once the schedule for the tournament is out, all the teams are expected to nominate their squads for the tournament.

Asia Cup 2022 will be hosted by Sri Lanka. Earlier, the tournament was scheduled to be played in Sri Lanka. However, due to ongoing political and economical unrest inside the nation, Sri Lanka Cricket decided to change the venue of the premier tournament.
Later, it was decided that UAE will be the new venue of the tournament. Hence, Sri Lanka Cricket will host the tournament in the new venue UAE. Since UAE is the venue of the tournament, three grounds will hosts all the matches. They are Dubai International Cricket Stadium, Sharjah Cricket Stadium, and Abu Dhabi Cricket Stadium.
