Bangladesh Hockey Federation on Sunday announced a 28-man preliminary squad for national camp before the Men’s AHF Cup 2022, which is also the qualifying event for the next edition’s Asia Cup, to be held in Jakarta, Indonesia from March 11 to 18.
The players have been asked to report to the Malaysian coach Iman Gobinathan Krishnamurthy at the Bangladesh Krira Shikkha Protishtan by February 12.
All the players have also been asked to submit their Covid-19 vaccination certificates to the BHF on February 8, said a BHF media release on Sunday.
The squad was announced three days after BKSP’s regular coach Krishnamurthy was assigned for the national camp and the tour to Jakarta.
Earlier in December 2021, Krishnamurthy served the national team as the head coach for the hosts in the sixth Men’s Asian Champions Trophy held in Dhaka.
