Yes, we can also hear that private people don’t mine so much bitcoins anymore with their low end equipments. But I think it’s still the mass of servers and the communication between them that cause high consumption and of course all data packages still have to be transferred redundantly to the peers and endpoints which step by step still heats up the chips , wirings, cables and then the planet. Whatever you say, it’s not an environmentally friendly technology at all, because it simply cannot be one.
