Field Hockey Blanks Bellarmine in Road Win, 3-0 – James Madison University Athletics

LOUISVILLE — A stingy James Madison defense held Bellarmine to four shots as the Dukes earned a 3-0 road victory Saturday night at Owsley B. Frazier Stadium.

JMU sits even at 3-3, while Bellarmine’s record is 0-5.

Sophomore Cassidy Strittmatter paced the Dukes offensively with a pair of goals, both unassisted. Senior captain Diede Remijnse scored the opening goal with an assist from junior Mikenna Allen. Junior Brandelynn Heinbaugh earned the start and made two saves to record James Madison’s first shutout of the season.
