Hatton National Bank emerged champions for the second consecutive occasion in the second MHA 9-a-side hockey tournament conducted by the Mercantile Hockey Association at the Astro Turf.
A total of 15 teams competed in four divisions in the tournament sponsored by Swisstek Aluminium.
HNB ‘A’ beat Sampath Bank ‘A’ 5-2 in the ‘A’ division final to retain the title for the second year with Damith Bandara adjudged player of the final.
Hayleys Group beat HSBC 2-0 to win the ‘B’ division title with Bhodika Dias winning the best player award.
Browns Group won the ‘C’ division title with Pathum Probodha winning the best player award while Sampath Bank ‘B’ beat Nation Trust Bank 8-7 on penalty strokes to win the ‘D’ division title with Isanka Samarasinghe taking the best player award.
