The competition is launching just as The Original Gin is awarded a much-coveted Great Taste Award 2022.
The best of the best bartenders are invited to create the next big thing in cocktails with this delicious, pure gin – the first gin ever distilled in Yorkshire.
Masters of Mixology will need to use at least 35ml of The Original Gin, the multiple award-winning flagship product, with fresh citrus and warming spice, refreshing orange and long juniper finish.
The top prize is a midweek overnight stay in a deluxe room for two at the super luxe Grantley Hall with dinner in Bar and Restaurant Eighty Eight – which serves up an enticing fusion of Eastern cuisine and the finest Yorkshire produce, and finally an opportunity to relax and unwind with an all access pass to the Three Graces Spa.
The winning cocktail entry will become one of Masons of Yorkshire’s permanent signature serves on the Masons’s website, and will be seeded out to bars and restaurants all over the North of England.
The second prize is a mixed case of 6 Masons Gins, personally signed by Karl and Cathy Mason.
A shortlist of entries will be drawn up on the 20th September, so entrants are urged to get their final ideas in this weekend.
Ideas need to be sent to [email protected] with ‘Cocktail Competition’ as the entry line, and explaining how their entry embodies the Masons of Yorkshire ethos around quality, ambition, teamwork and passion.
The final competition will take place on the September 29 at Pastel in Leeds.
