Two wins of $1 million in two days. In addition to highlighting other recent large winners, the Wisconsin Lottery is honouring consecutive seven-digit jackpots won by players in the state.
Someone bought a Powerball ticket for the drawing on Saturday night at the New Horizons Supply Cooperative in Darlington that had all five numbers correct but was deficient in the Powerball, which would have earned them a cool million. That occurred the day after a Mega Millions winning ticket purchased from a Citgo in Appleton.
One ticket hit in the noon drawing and the other in the evening drawing of the Wisconsin Lottery’s All or Nothing game on the same day that someone won a million dollars playing Mega Millions. Each of those winners was entitled to $100,000.
The lottery noted the timing of the victories, coming just before the organization’s 34th birthday. The Wisconsin Lottery claims that during that period, it has distributed roughly $10 billion to winners and another $1 billion to shops.
