Prince Harry has returned from Balmoral after spending the night at the Scottish estate.
The 37-year-old rushed to be by his grandmother’s bedside yesterday, but arrived after she died.
He was pictured leaving Balmoral in a black Range Rover shortly after 8.30am this morning.
A separate vehicle, thought to hold his security team, followed through the gates and also hastily sped past crowds and awaiting press.
Rain poured as the cars drove out of view and began the around 45-minute journey to Aberdeen.
The Duke of Sussex was seen boarding a British Airways flight, wearing a black suit and carrying a backpack.
Flight data shows the plane departed at 10.20am.
He was accompanied to the plane by a woman wearing a hi-vis vest, who he spoke with and, at one stage, was seen placing his hand on her shoulder.
Just an hour later, the same woman was seen shaking hands with King Charles.
Harry’s flight landed at London Heathrow Airport at 11:32am after completing its journey from Aberdeen.
He had travelled without his wife Meghan Markle yesterday, and flew to Scotland separately to Prince William.
Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II has died after 70 years on the throne, her death announced by Buckingham Palace on September 8, 2022.
She died at the age of 96 at her home in Balmoral, with her son, the now King Charles, and daughter Princess Anne by her side.

His arrival at the Aberdeenshire home came an hour-and-a-half after news of the Queen’s passing was made public.
The monarch died peacefully yesterday with the now-King Charles and Anne, Princess Royal, at her bedside.
