5 returners will change their numbers from last season, including defensive backs Jaylen McCollough, Kamal Hadden and Brandon Turnage, as well as defensive linemen Amari Mcneil and Dominic Bailey.
Of those 5, McCollough, Turnage and Hadden are likely to see significant time this season. McCollough switches to No. 2 from No. 22, Hadden switches to No. 5 from No. 13 and Turnage switches to No. 8 from No. 29.
Freshman quarterback Tayven Jackson will wear No. 3, as will JUCO defensive back Dee Williams. Other transfers of interest such as Wesley Walker, Andre Turrentine and Gerald Mincey will wear numbers 13, 17 and 54, respectively.
Bru McCoy, perhaps the most important transfer for the Vols this offseason, will wear No. 15. This is the same number worn by former fan-favorite receiver Jauan Jennings.
Tennessee football is just around the corner. The Vols will kick off the season on a Thursday night on Sept. 1 against Ball State.
Tennessee sports betting officially launched on November 1, 2020. Tennessee was the first SEC state to legalize sports betting.

Let’s hope Bru has gotten over his off-the-field issues and can be a major contributor like #15 was before him.
Don’t matter what number they wear. Tin R C sucks at football. They are consistent.
The last thing Tennessee football is is consistent.
They consistently lose to their rivals.
Tin R C loses a lot. Consistently.
The only number of consequense is 7 for the Vols…Their win total. That will likely change this season, probably to a 5 or 6.

lol…Clearly you are worried. Did you know that when there was a 47 percent chance of rain and Mars was in retrograde Tennessee threw for more yards than Kurt Warner back in the “Greatest Show on Turf” era? If you couple that with the fact that we could have kicked field goals instead of punting from our own 20 we would have only lost to Bama by 47 points lol. If we had made the playoff Mars would have been in Retrograde and we would have won. Therefore we are the 2021 champions!
