The reigning Heisman Trophy winner, Alabama quarterback Bryce Young, entered Week 2 as the favorite to win the award again this season. But following a performance that left a bit to be desired vs. Texas, Young will have some ground to make up if he hopes to repeat in 2022.
Georgia quarterback Stetson Bennett has looked like the best passer in the league through two weeks this year and despite not yet playing a full 60 minutes in his first two games, he is still second in the conference in yards with 668.
USA TODAY Sports recently ranked the top-ten college football quarterbacks following Week 2 of play, and the Georgia signal-caller looks to be receiving the recognition he deserves. We at UGA Wire recently ranked Bennett as the No. 1 quarterback in the league, though Paul Myerberg of USA TODAY Sports is not ready to go that far, as he has Bennett as No. 4 in America, behind Young.
