32-year-elderly person shot in lower body in Syracuse's Valley area

Syracuse, N.Y. — A man was shot in the lower body Tuesday in Syracuse's Valley area, police said.

The shooting was accounted for at around 4:48 p.m. at 182 Thurlow Drive, said Sgt. Thomas Blake, a representative for the Syracuse Police Department.

The 32-year-elderly person was taken to Upstate University Hospital where he was treated for non-perilous wounds, Blake said.

The man was not promptly recognized by police Tuesday night.

The 32-year-old was shot while he was inside a Honda Accord, as per starting Onondaga County 911 Center dispatches.

The shooter escaped in a dim Jeep Cherokee, dispatchers said.

Police should have been visible Tuesday putting proof markers around a dark Honda Accord around the location where the shooting was accounted for.

The vehicle seemed to have openings in its front traveler side entryway.
