Did you purchase a Mega Millions ticket while you were in Ames for the Twisters game last end of the week?

Somebody who purchased a Mega Millions ticket at an Ames general store won a $1 million award in Tuesday's drawing.

The triumphant ticket in Tuesday's drawing was bought at Door Expresse, 2400 College Blvd. in Ames.

The ticket came surprisingly close to having essentially a portion of the $191 million bonanza.

The ticket matched the initial five numbers however missed the Super Ball to win a $1 million award.

Tuesday's triumphant numbers were 6-17-46-59-68 and Mega Ball 2. The Megaplier number was 4.

It is the third Uber Millions prize of something like $1 million won in Iowa in a little more than a month.

In late July, a Davenport man won a $2 million Uber Millions prize with a ticket he purchased at an odds and ends shop in Bettendorf

 furthermore, in August, a West Association man won a $1 million Super Millions prize with a ticket he purchased at a corner shop in Ossian.

Nobody matched each of the six numbers to win Tuesday's bonanza,

so the huge award moves to an expected $210 million, with a $114 million single amount choice for Friday's drawing.

The Ames ticket was the just $1 million champ cross country in Tuesday's drawing.
